On March 4th, we presented all of our objects to the press in a dedicated staging. LE GRAMME set up in a private mansion, rue Volney, in Paris, where time and material were immobilized since each variation was trapped in a block of ice. It took us two weeks of work to effectively trap each variation in the 11 blocks of ice we made, all the while respecting the inserted signature of display, specific to LE GRAMME.
We had arrange for the first ice structure welcoming the guests, to be an explosion of silver shot in a set constellation. They were then invited to discover two rooms immersed in darkness, with black-lit ice blocks as a unique source of lighting, thrusting them in a timeless environment. The permanent variation presented the 17 bracelets arranged like a backbone embedded in the ice, whereas the last variations punched and cables looked as though they were in levitation.
This presentation was an echo to the objects' timelessness and the universal esthetic of LE GRAMME.
