Santa

a really oh oh oh interview!

what inspires and nourishes you in your profession?
first, you have to feed the reindeer, it's important to move forward! more seriously, the biscuits left near the fireplace are a real motivation, because I burn a lot of calories despite what my wife says, who is very particular about my diet. New Year's Eve is finally the time when I can let loose a little, especially if there's a little vodka to accompany it.

Who are the people who constitute references for you?
there are finally quite a few of us on the happiness market, I have a lot of respect for the Dalai Lama for example, this guy is incredibly cool, I draw inspiration from him to channel the stress of the end-of-year rush. year. Little Jesus is also really good, even if he steals the spotlight a little, we agreed on a mystical positioning for him and a more joyful one for me. cupid tries to do a good job, but he regularly fails, he gets bad feedback all the same, it's the intention that counts let's say!... but ultimately I would say spiderman who really delivers on his costume and his art of travel, reindeer are a nice folklore but they are a lot of maintenance.

What compliment means the most to you in your job?
“Little Santa Claus, I’m overwhelmed!” It may be a bit classic but I make sure to please everyone. and then my wife doesn't tell me it as often anymore.

the city or destination that inspires you or resembles you?
I spend all year in the depths of Lapland, it's a place that I love because it's very calming but it's bitterly cold! I admit to falling for Los Angeles, as you know, I have a fairly strict anonymity policy, but I found a good parade there because I can mingle with the Hells Angels, a group of big bearded men who Kindly taught me how to ride a motorcycle.

how would you define your way of being and living?
I am a hard worker (and not a hard worker!), my job combines psychology, design of innovative toys, mastery of logistics because everything must be delivered within 24 hours to 194 countries. I therefore have a fairly strict life discipline throughout the year: tai chi every morning with the elves, 100% Sami diet (fish and root vegetables, occasionally a few arctic blackberries).

your reference project? or the one you would have loved to do, and the one you would like to do?
I would have really liked to have been able to do the Coca-Cola campaign, at the time I was more difficult to contact than now. they had to call on an understudy who worked in a small shopping center. I had to review my entire wardrobe, I was dressed in green at the time and not red, my elves had to work like crazy to make sure we matched the following year.

your favorite toy?
I have a great passion for pétanque, unfortunately, playing the game is complicated with the snow and I systematically lose the jack. the reindeer have really become good players, they improved their curve work, played some good games. the elves don't play with us anymore, they cheated too much.

your biggest challenge achieved or to be achieved?
delivering the world in 24 hours every year is an immense challenge, many still try without success. le gramme for example would like to copy me, but they are still young deer.

your ritual in your job(s)?
I pack a lot. (ok, the joke is easy but my wife laughs every time.)

a favorite place to usually find yourself?
I launched my own ice bar right under the Northern Lights. I am found there at the end of the day.

your favorite object? how much does he weigh ?
I always have my Sophie giraffe in my pocket. it weighs 65 grams.

what has weight in your life?
my hood! I assure you that you must have strong backs - and reindeer!

your objects per gram, what are they? how do you wear them?
I have ribbon bracelets: the 41g brushed, the 21g polished, the 23g polished horizontal guilloché and the 27g polished perforated (my youngest, I fell in love!). I accumulate them, I find it funny, it makes the sound of elves' bells, they are super jealous.

if le gramme was a toy?
an elementary shape, something simple, a hula hoop! I am very good at hula hooping.
